I truly love this phase of my life. The pressure is off and I can engage in all the things that I truly care for. It’s a period of contentment. Life itself seems to get friendlier as you age. It feels like I can finally be who I want to be, regardless of other people’s opinion. So much has happened, some of it good, some of it bad. But it’s the sum of all of my experiences that give me this sense of fulfillment. I care less about the exterior and cherish all the meaningful connections I have in my life. Sometimes I feel blessed that I grew up in a time where standing up for something was the norm and the overall sentiment was less superficial than today.’
